SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed regarding the high variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support position made for intervention activities a superior inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to empower the servicing of all shoppers and raise entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
